Favorite sports memory: I pitched my first complete varsity game against DC Everest as a freshman. We won 8-1, which was a first for LHS Softball in many years. My defense played amazing, and our team hit like crazy. It was an indescribable feeling as a freshman to be part of such a great team.
Advice to an athlete: Off season work is the most important work of all. If you want something bad enough, you will make time to help yourself get better for when the season comes around.
Inspiration: My dad was definitely my inspiration. He supported me in every decision that I made and pushed me to work as hard as I possibly could. He helped me become the athlete that I am today. I am incredibly thankful to have such a great inspiration in my life.
College plans: I’m attending Iowa State University in the fall of 2015. I’m interested in many things, but I hope to find a career involving sports since sports have been a big part of my life growing up.
