PORTLAND, Ore. — The TrackTown Youth League made a stop in Portland. Athletes from eight to 14 took part in a meet Sunday at Roosevelt High School.
The TrackTown Youth League is a series of all-comer track meets across Oregon.
The meet at Roosevelt is the second of 12 meets scheduled.
Athletes compete in the 100 and 400-meter sprints, the 1,500-meter long jump and turbojav.
Athletes and parents called the meet “great fun.”
The top two finishers in each event advance to the Tracktown Youth League Championship at Hayward Field in Eugene on June 27, following the USA Track & Field Championships.
