Wednesday marked the beginning of the early signing period for high school baseball players to make their college commitments, and several locals were set to make their decisions official. The Journal News has compiled a list of players who are entering their senior season and committing to Division I, Division II, Ivy League or any service academy colleges for baseball.

The Class of 2016 is considered to be one of the most talented to come out of the Lower Hudson Valley in recent years, which is evident based on the quality of the schools which are being chosen. The early signing period ends on Nov. 18 with the regular signing period beginning on April 13.
