John Bald rolled a 644 series as the John Jay High School boys bowling team defeated Carmel, 7-0, in Dutchess Putnam Interscholastic Bowling League action at Southern Dutchess Bowl on Wednesday.

Ryan Loggia and Nicholas Pagan added games of 243, and 238, respectively, for the Patriots.

Arlington 5, Roy C. Ketcham 2 – Aaron Scribner bowled a 218 game and 614 series to lead Arlington at Southern Dutchess Bowl.

Beacon 7, Mahopac 0 – Kevin Murphy fired a team-high 584 series, and Brandon Gertel contributed a team-high 233 game for Beacon at Southern Dutchess Bowl.

Girls bowling

Victoria Pacacha had a 215 game and 553 series for John Jay in a 7-0 DPIBL victory over Carmel at Southern Dutchess Bowl.

Arlington 7, Ketcham 0 – Allisyn Bundy and Alicia Assalone rolled a 530 and 525 series, respectively, to pace Arlington at Southern Dutchess Bowl.

Raylene Williams had a 197 game for Ketcham.

Beacon 7, Mahopac 0 – Jenna Maffei’s 200 game and 542 series led Beacon at Southern Dutchess Bowl.

Christina Moseman had a 174 for the Bulldogs.

Wrestling

Five Red Hook competitors prevailed via pinfall, sending their visiting Raiders home with a 50-31 victory at New Paltz.

Among the Raiders who won by pin, Taylor Benson (126 pounds) triumphed in 1:57; Tristen Schiafo (132) was victorious in 3:14; A.J. Coolbaugh (182) needed 3:47 to win; Darren Coon (195) won in 3:52; and Travis Coon (285) won in 4:42.

Theo Chazkel (160) earned a pin in 3:32, one of several Huguenots to win.

Gymnastics

Ali Bertolozzi finished second on the balance beam for host Franklin D. Roosevelt in a 163.45-143.25 loss to the combined team from Kingston and New Paltz in Hyde Park.

Bertolozzi finished fifth in the all-around competition (30.15), thanks, in part, to her fifth-place performance on the uneven bars.

Teammate Jocelyn Grant placed second (8.35) on the vault for Roosevelt (0-2), which also received a sixth-place finish (29.65) from Olivia Tissot in the all-around.

Roosevelt travels to Wallkill on Jan. 21.
