The Tulare Western girls golf team improved to a perfect 9-0 overall and 2-0 in East Yosemite League play with a 277-308 win over Porterville Thursday at River Island Country Club.
Madison McCarthy shot a team-low 45. Madison Mederos turned in a 53, Bailey Leal a 56, Dani Boeve a 57 and Taylor Maze a 66.
For Porterville, Misha Vega recorded the round’s lowest score with a 37.
The Mustangs continue EYL play Monday when they host Mission Oak at Tulare Golf Course.
Golden West 268, Dinuba 302: The Trailblazers earned a non-league victory Thursday at Valley Oaks Golf Course.
Kylie Cowell posted a team-low 39. Ivy Saephan and Hailey Cutler carded 56s, Mya Chao recorded a 62 and Mia Moreno finished with a 58.
Golden West returns to action next Thursday for a West Yosemite League mini-meet at Valley Oaks.
Monache 312, Mission Oak 337: The Marauders defeated the Hawks on the front nine of the Tulare Golf Course in an EYL match.
Bryttneigh King and Madyson Levan each had a 62 for Mission Oak (3-5, 0-2).
Mission Oak 3, Cesar Chavez 0: The Hawks picked up their first away victory of the season Thursday in Delano, beating the Titans 25-14, 25-10, 25-5 in a non-league match.
Sophomore outside hitter Christa Pilgrim returned from injury to smack four kills. Sam Arellano tallied nine kills, six blocks and two aces, and Kelcey Brown generated five aces, two digs and nine assists. Alyssa Parkinson had six aces and four digs, and Averee Johnson finished with five digs and an ace.
Mission Oak (5-0) hits the road again Wednesday when it clashes with Strathmore.
Redwood 3, Monache 0: The Rangers swept the Marauders 25-13, 25-22, 25-22 in a non-league contest at Redwood.
Bryanna Martinez had three aces and eight digs. Brooke Gilcrest posted nine kills and four blocks, and Jacey Davis added seven kills, two blocks and three aces. Ashton Peckinpah stonewalled four blocks, Juliann Nyberg smashed four kills and Paige Tadeo had 13 assists.
Redwood (3-1) heads to the Highland Tournament in Bakersfield this weekend.
Tulare Western 3, Strathmore 1: Jocelyn Benson had 10 kills and nine digs in the Mustangs’ 25-14, 25-15, 24-26, 25-18 non-league win.
Also for the Mustangs, Annabel Martinho had 14 digs and aces, and Kendall Hadfield registered four kills, nine digs, 12 assists and two aces. Sarah Wilbur wrapped up her night with eight assists and nine digs.
Golden West 3, Madera South 1: The Trailblazers are starting to find their stride under new coach Laura Lopez.
The Trailblazers topped Madera South 25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22 in a non-league match at Golden West.
Golden West captain Taylor Stainbrook pulled through for 15 serves, five aces, 19 kills and 20 digs. Karlie Pennington finished with 14 serves, an ace, 21 assists, eight kills and 15 digs while Cydnee Allen added 22 serves, three aces and 14 digs.
The Trailblazers (4-1) host Exeter on Wednesday.
Dinuba 3, Porterville 1: The Emperors knocked off the Panthers 24-26, 25-17, 25-19, 27-25 in a non-league tilt in Dinuba.
Emperors junior middle hitter McKayla McMaryion notched 10 kills and eight blocks. Silvia Cendejas had five kills, nine digs and two aces, and Emma Quiroz finished with 17 assists and four digs.
Dinuba (3-3) heads to the Madera South Tournament next Friday.
Sanger 3, Mt. Whitney 0: The Pioneers fell 16-25, 20-25, 14-25 to the Apaches in a non-league tilt.
Top players for Mt. Whitney were Payton Trimm (12 kills, an ace, two blocks), Taylor Keeline (eight kills), Taryn Gievet (five kills, a block and 11 assists) and Jill Dudley (two kills, an ace and 15 assists).
The Pioneers (2-8) will also play in the Highland Tournament.
Minarets 3, Famersville 0: The Aztecs dropped a 21-25, 15-25, 14-25 non-league contest.
Lucia Herrera finished with six kills and eight digs to lead Farmersville, and Caren Moreno added four kills, five digs and an ace.
The Aztecs (4-5-1) host the Farmersville Tournament on Tuesday.
Redwood 9, El Diamante 0: The Rangers kept their undefeated West Yosemite League record in tact with a decisive victory over the Miners Thursday at El Diamante.
Claire Yang (6-1, 6-0), Juliette Garcia (6-4, 6-7, 10-7), Kate Sapasap (6-2, 6-2), Alexis Cervantes (6-1, 6-1), Allison Stevens (6-1, 6-1) and Katelyn Chamberlain (6-1 6-0) each earned an individual singles win.
Yang and Sapasap (8-1), Cervantes and Ashley Orandi (8-1), and Stevens and Mackenzie Coffman (8-0) teamed up in doubles action for the Rangers’ other victories.
Redwood (4-0) can make it five straight wins in a row when it hosts Golden West on Monday.
Lemoore 6, Mt. Whitney 3: The Pioneers lost to the Tigers in a WYL match.
Lacey Clark (6-4, 6-3), Evelyn Rodriguez (6-3, 6-4) and Lexy Brunsdon (6-2, 6-3) recorded Mt. Whitney’s three victories in singles action.

Redwood 21, Exeter 3: Seven different Rangers scored a goal in their non-league home victory Thursday.
Redwood received strikes from Houston King (seven), Jack Terry (five), Spencer Minnick (three), Trenton Presley (two) and one each from Carston Burgess, Jared Cook, Blake Hobbs and Isaiah Monzon. Senior goalie Josh Ramage made eight saves.
Exeter’s Bryce Hurick netted two goals and Mikie Guitierrez added one. Dylan Lasky recorded seven saves.
Redwood (1-1) hosts Porterville on Tuesday.
Mt. Whitney 21, Monache 15: Logan Mena scored eight goals and Phillip Dinis added six more in the Pioneers’ non-league victory.
Jakob Rodriguez found the back of the net twice, and Jake Applegate, Stephen Dean, Jake Ruby, Rob Shirk and Tim VanScyoc each had one. Netminder Carter Johnson had 11 save.
