2015 Spring Valley Tigers
Coach — Ryan Marcus
How many years have you been coaching with your current team? This will be by my seventh year at Spring Valley.
What was your final record last season and where did you finish in the playoffs? We finished 5-10-2. Lost to Rye in a Class A outbracket game
Who are your key returning players? Lugduni Desrosiers (Sr.), Djovanny Therasse (Jr.), Jesús Vazquez (Sr.), Alvin Chinchilla (Jr.).
Who are the key players that you lost to graduation? Edgy Marc, Emmanuel Anyane-Yeboa, Jhonn Marquez.
Did you gain or lose any players from the U.S. Academy system? No.
What do you consider to be your team’s strengths? Work rate and a team chemistry.
What are some areas of concern? We are still going to be a relatively young varsity roster, so it may take some time for the younger players to get acclimated to the varsity game-play.
Who is the most skilled offensive player on your team? Djovanny Therasse.
The best defender? Rodley Thelors.
The fastest? Lugduni Desrosiers (section champ sprinter) and Rodley Thelors is a close second (league champ sprinter)
The biggest hustler? Lugduni Desrosiers.
Which team is your biggest rival(s)? Our in-district sister school Ramapo. The East Ramapo Mayor’s Cup trophy is awarded to the winner of our match-up(s). Currently, we have possession of the cup here at Spring Valley.
