Long Beach Poly could forfeit up to three games, report says

By

Long Beach Poly could be facing up to three forfeits for an ineligible player, according to report in the Los Angeles Times.

With one game to play, Poly is 7-2 and the Moore League champion at 5-0, but three losses would make Long Beach Wilson the champion.

Poly would still likely make the Pac-5 playoffs, but the second-place league finish would alter the seedings.

Messages left for Poly athletic director Rob Shock and coach Antonio Pierce were not returned, The Times said.

The CIF-Southern Section office declined comment.
