The Dansville girls soccer team has opened its season with three straight victories.
And that has McKenna Dillivan optimistic that her senior season could be a special one for the Aggies.
Dillivan, who was voted the LSJ prep athlete of the week, has aided the strong start for Dansville and scored five goals in a pair of victories last week. She also scored in the Aggies’ season opener and is the team’s leading scorer so far.
“She’s very tenacious,” first-year Dansville varsity coach Eric Thackery said. “She’s got a goal scorer’s mentality and she’s a very, very intelligent player and a very intelligent student for that matter.”
Playing soccer year-round has helped Dillivan improve her skills. She hopes that dedication will lead to continued success this spring.
“My personal goal is to increase my stamina and keep scoring goals,” Dillivan said. “My team goal would be to win districts.”
