Madison senior Baylea Loven has signed to play college basketball for the University of South Carolina-Aiken.
The Patriots held a signing ceremony for the All-WNC forward/wing on Tuesday.
Loven also earned All-Western Highlands Conference honors this past season after averaging 17.1 points, 12.9 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.6 assists per game for Madison (21-6).
She was a N.C. Basketball Coaches Association all-district selection.
The 6-foot senior finished her career with 1,438 points and a school record 1,140 rebounds.
Loven was the Blue-White All-Star game’s most valuable player. She led all scorers with 22 points and pulled down 18 rebounds in that March 21 exhibition at Roberson.
Loven’s high school coach was her father, Jeff.
