It’s the Week 9 Kentucky HS football preview with The C-J’s Jason Frakes and Chris White looking at this week’s monster games in Louisville area high school football.

There seems to be little doubt that the Male High School football team is the No. 1 team in Kentucky at this point of the season.

The Bulldogs are 7-0 and have defeated their opponents by an average score of 50.9-3.7. The defense has posted four shutouts.

But where does Male rank on a national level?

I’ve searched eight national rankings (six human polls, two computer ratings) and found the Bulldogs ranked as high as No. 13 and as low as No. 46.

So, the consensus would be that Male definitely is a top-50 program in the nation this season.
