This time, Mater Dei was up 31-13 at halftime after Fairfax shot 1-for-9 from three-point range in the first half. The Lions cut the lead to 41-35 with 3:08 remaining in the game.
Fairfax (32-3) was without Donald Gipson, who injured a knee in the semifinals. He was on the bench with crutches. Lindsey Drew had 17 points.
