Several Midstate basketball players have eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for their careers this season.
The most recent have been Franklin’s Garrison Mathews and Pearl-Cohn’s Jordan Sandifer.
Mathews achieved the milestone during Friday’s 71-62 win over Summit. He scored 37 points, including six 3-pointers, in the win. He added to that total with four more 3-pointers and 28 points in a 64-54 win over Independence Tuesday night.
On Tuesday, Sandifer joined the 1,000-point club with a 20-point performance in the Firebirds’ 61-40 win over Hume-Fogg. Sandifer hit three 3-pointers in the triumph.
