YALE The Yale High School baseball team swept a pair of games Monday against Croswell-Lexington.

The Bulldogs won the first Blue Water Area Conference game 5-1 and the second 9-4.

Austin Snider was the winning pitcher of the first game after going the distance, striking out five and allowing four hits without an earned run.

William Wilds and Jared Ramsey each had two hits and an RBI for Yale. Tyler Schmidt was the losing pitcher despite striking out 15 for Cros-Lex. Nick Forsberg had two hits for the Pioneers in the first game.

James Fuhrman was the winning pitcher of the second game after pitching six innings, allowing 10 hits and four earned runs.

Jacob Ramsey added two hits and Snider had a hit and an RBI while Christian Sokacz had a hit, an RBI and two stolen bases. Kaleb Mendoza had four hits in the second game. Nick Eggers added three hits for the Pioneers in the second game.

Yale (7-5, 13-9) will return today at Almont. CL (0-10, 2-20) will return home today against Algonac.
