CROSWELL – The Croswell-Lexington baseball team swept Capac Thursday in a Blue Water Area Conference doubleheader.
The Pioneers defeated the Chiefs 7-6 in the first game and later won the nightcap 9-4.
Luke Wilson was the winning pitcher of the first game after entering the game in relief and pitching three and two thirds of an inning. He allowed no earned runs on three hits and struck out seven.
Nick Forsberg had two hits and two RBIs for the Pioneers, Tyler Schmidt and Justin Johnston each had two hits, an RBI and scored a run.
Louis Aguinaga had three hits for Capac, while Andrew Sams and Jason Tyson each had two.
In the second game, Keagan Biscorner pitched one inning in relief and struck out a hitter without allowing a run. Johnston had three hits and three RBIs, Tyler Schmidt had two hits (RBI) and scored two runs and Brett Ebner had two hits and an RBI.
Tyson had two hits for Capac.
Cros-Lex (3-11, 5-21) will return to action Tuesday at Sandusky, while Capac (11-13) plays Tuesday in a pre-district game against New Haven.
