Nine years into this career, Cameron Maybin’s numbers as a Major League Baseball player were never better than they were in 2015.
The Atlanta Braves center fielder and 2005 Roberson graduate wrapped up his latest season Sunday in a doubleheader against visiting St. Louis.
Maybin, 28, finished with career-high totals for batting average (.267), RBIs (59), home runs (10) and on-base percentage (.327). He stole 23 bases for the Braves (67-95).
Maybin was the 10th overall pick in the 2005 MLB draft (by Detroit) out of high school. He was traded last April from San Diego to Atlanta and has played in the past for the Miami Marlins as well.
