Several of Kentucky’s top girls’ basketball teams will join squads from Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee in this weekend’s Raatz Fence/O’Shea’s Basketball Classic at Mercy Academy.
The event will run Friday and Saturday, with three games Friday starting at 6 p.m. and eight games Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
The field includes six teams among the Top 20 in the state in The Courier-Journal’s Litkenhous Ratings – No. 1 Elizabethtown, No. 2 Henderson County, No. 10 Butler, No. 13 Mercy, No. 15 Franklin County and No. 17 Manual.
E’town also is ranked No. 14 in the nation by USA Today. Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Blackman, ranked No. 6 in the nation by USA Today, leads the field of out-of-state teams.

* Saturday – Assumption vs. North Bullitt, 10 a.m.; Sacred Heart vs. Cincinnati Withrow, 11:30; Bullitt East vs. Lafayette, 1 p.m.; Manual vs. Henderson County, 2:45; Mercy vs. St. Louis Incarnate Word, 4:15; Toledo (Ohio) Rogers vs. Murfreesboro (Tenn.)
