Several Metro-area wrestlers qualified for State during Saturday’s Region Five meet at Woodford County.

Landin Jones of North Oldham beat Matt Davis of South Oldham 25-9 in the 285-pound final.

Both – along with the first-through fourth-place finishers in each weight class – advance to the State Meet Friday and Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

Oldham County won the team title with 233.5 points. Woodford County (224.5 points) was second, and North Oldham (207) was third.

Other area wrestlers who qualified for state were:

220 – Ian Fullerton of Oldham County (runner-up)

195 – Collin Portman of North Oldham (champion), and Daniel Kimbell of Oldham County (third place).

182 – Caleb Ayres of Oldham County (third place).

170 – Alex McIntosh of Oldham County (champion), Collin Waples of North Oldham (third-place), Evan Rademaker of South Oldham (fourth-place).

160 – Max Emerson of Oldham County (champion).

152 – John Reitnauer of North Oldham (champion), Will Jennings of North Oldham (runner-up).

145 – Austin Alemi of North Oldham (runner-up).

138 – Brady Emerson of Oldham County (champion), Hunter Stuart of North Oldham (fourth place).

132 – Nick Wise of Oldham County (champion), Sam Jenkins of North Oldham (fourth place).

126 – Jacob Henley of Oldham County (champion).

120 – Mason Donner of Oldham County (third place), Val Liu of North Oldham (fourth place).

113 – Dallas Ochsenbein of North Oldham (runner-up).

106 – Drew Johnson of North Oldham (runner-up), Nate Wheeler of South Oldham (third place), Zac Brooks of Oldham County (fourth place).
