MHSAA baseball championships delayed until 4 p.m.

Tuesday’s start of the MHSAA baseball championships has been delayed according to the organization’s website.

The title series will now begin at 4 p.m. today with the Class 5A match up between George County and Oxford. The Class 6A series of Oak Grove vs. DeSoto Central will follow the first game with first pitch set for 7 p.m.

The Class 2A championship series between Taylorsville and East Webster, which was originally slated to begin at 1 p.m. today, has been moved to 10 a.m. Wednesday. There will be four games played Wednesday.

4 p.m. Class 5A – George County vs. Oxford

7 p.m. Class 6A – Oak Grove vs. DeSoto Central

Wednesday, May 20

10 a.m. Class 2A – Taylorsville vs. East Webster

1 p.m. Class 1A – Cathedral vs. Smithville

4 p.m. Class 4A – St. Stanislaus vs. Houston

7 p.m. Class 3A – Sumrall vs. Belmont
