Miami Country Day climbed from No. 13 to No. 6 in the latest Super 25 girls basketball rankings with a 3-0 week, including a 57-56 defeat of then-No. 5 Potter’s House Christian (Jacksonville) as Channise Lewis had 18 points, eight assists and five rebounds.
There were two new teams in the Super 25 rankings: No. 21 Ursuline Academy (Wilmington, Del.); and No. 25 Gonzaga Prep (Spokane, Wash.).
Ursuline joined the Super 25 for the second time this season on the basis of a 47-42 defeat of then-No. 10 Cardinal O’Hara (Springfield, Pa.) as Adrianna Hahn had 23 points.
Gonzaga Prep is 16-0 to start the season with Laura Stockton, the daughter of NBA great John Stockton, getting 15 points and eight assists in a 76-23 defeat of North Central (Spokane).
