Delvin Wood ran for 245 yards and four touchdowns on 16 carries to lead the Millbrook High School football team over Rye Neck, 56-22, on Friday.

Christian Williams rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries as the Blazers racked up 694 yards on the ground. Senior Lenny Hart added a 2-yard touchdown run and a two-point conversion run for Millbrook (3-1).

“Delvin didn’t play much of the third quarter,” Blazers coach Sean Keenan said. “We have a great offensive line and we’ve got some excellent running backs.”

Linebackers Ethan Martell and Chris Ross each made 10 tackles, and Sam Storey and Connor Latimer “controlled the defensive line,” Keenan said.

“We’ve had two really good weeks of practice,” Keenan said of his team scoring 100 points in its last two games. “Our second team has been great in practice and giving us good looks, which helps us prepare well.”

Millbrook visits Tri-Valley at 3 p.m. Saturday.
