A moose wandered through the athletic fields Tuesday morning at North Central High School in Spokane.

Maybe it was the unusually hot weather, but somehow a moose got lost and ended up on Spokane’s North Central High School athletic fields this morning.

The moose took a jog around the track before Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife staff tranquilized it. Well, maybe less of a jog and more of a meandering gallop, as captured by Casey Lund of KXLY in Spokane.

The WDFW team transported the moose out of Spokane for release.

This is the first time a moose has wandered onto the school’s campus. However Shadle Park High School (Spokane) experienced a similar situation two weeks ago when a wandering moose put the school into temporary lockdown.
