KUSA – Mountain Vista High School junior Mallory Pugh is the latest candidate making a case for Gatorade National Girls Soccer Player of the Year.

Despite missing the first three games of this season, the 5-foot-4 midfielder/forward is the Golden Eagles’ star player.  And she wasn’t on vacation either — Pugh was scoring goals for the U.S. Soccer Under-20 Women’s National Team in Spain.  By the way, the US beat Norway in that match 2-0, with both goals coming from the Highlands Ranch standout.

Pugh has a highly impressive soccer resume, and a verbal commitment to UCLA to go along with it.  Click here to read more on USA TODAY High School Sports about TopDrawerSoccer.com’s No. 1-ranked player in the Class of 2016.
