Winning pitcher Corey Wilson struck out 13 Maysville batters, as visiting John Glenn earned a 4-1 Muskingum Valley League victory on Wednesday.

Wilson held the Panthers (5-12, 5-9) to one run on four hits and walked two in a complete game effort.

The Muskies (18-5, 13-2) took a 2-0 lead in the second on a RBI single by Ryan Long and a RBI double from Cameron Roberts.

Matt Stewart hit a RBI double in the sixth for John Glenn, while Maysville scored in the home half as Michael Sode’s sac fly plated Couger Clarke.

Long, Colton Devoll and Luke Klinehoffer all had two hits in the winning effort.

Sode was the losing pitcher, allowing three earned runs on nine hits with four strikeouts and one walk in six innings. Clarke, Clay Mercer, Nate Vallee and Sky Clark all singled in the loss.
