Alli Hylton and winning pitcher Kate Bass both hit a two-run homers in the seventh inning as top-seeded John Glenn pulled away for a 6-1 win over West Holmes in the Division II sectional championship Friday at River View.

After the Knights (13-16) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on three consecutive singles, the Muskies (25-2) came back with two runs in the second and four in the seventh.

Hylton had two more hits, three RBIs and scored two runs and Bass also added two hits. Catcher Kerrie Dolick had a triple, among her three hits, and two runs scored, Jordan Pethtel had a hit, an RBI and a run and MacKenzie Prater had two hits and a double.

Bass struck out five, walked one and gave up seven hits to earn the win.

Cassie Thomas and losing pitcher Stormi Morris each had two hits for the Knights, while Morris went the distance, giving up 14 hits, striking out five and hitting a batter.

The Muskies meet second-seeded Dover at 5 p.m. Thursday at River View for the district championship.
