The Naismith Trophy High School National Player of the Year semifinalists were announced Tuesday with 10 boys and 10 girls semifinalists named. All of the semifinalists are seniors.

Alphabetically, the boys semifinalists:

* Dwayne Bacon, SG, Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.);

* Isaiah Briscoe, SG, Roselle (N.J.) Catholic;

* Jaylen Brown, SF, Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.);

* Cheick Diallo, PF, Our Savior New American (Centereach, N.Y.);

* Henry Ellenson, PF, Rice Lake, Wis.;

* Chase Jeter, C, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas);

* Malik Newman, SG, Callaway (Jackson, Miss.);

* Ben Simmons, PF, Montverde (Fla.) Academy;

* Allonzo Trier, SG, Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.);

* Stephen Zimmerman, C, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas).

Alphabetically, the girls semifinalists:

* Kalani Brown, P, Salmen (Slidell, La.);

* Napheesa Collier, W, Incarnate Word Academy (St. Louis);

* Te’a Cooper, PG, McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.);

* Asia Durr, PG, St. Pius X (Atlanta);

* Lashann Higgs, PG, Cedar Ridge (Round Rock, Texas);

* Jordan Hosey, W, Manvel, Texas;

* Mabrina Mabrey, G, Manasquan, N.J.;

* Ali Patberg, G, Columbus North (Columbus, Ind.);

* Katie Lou Samuelson, Wm  Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.);

* Destinee Walker, G, Lake Highland Prep (Orlando).

The leading college choice for the girls was Connecticut (Samuelson, Collier); Notre Dame (Mabrey, Patberg) and Texas (Higgs and Hosey). there was no clear-cut leaders for the boys as four of the semifinalists are undecided on their college choice.
