Former Roberson standout Chris Narveson will be the starting pitcher for the Miami Marlins on Wednesday when they host the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Narveson is a 2000 Rams graduate who has previously been in the bullpen for Miami.
Wednesday will be his first major-league start since 2012.
Narveson is 1-0 with a 3.86 earned-run average with 12 strikeouts in 11.2 innings pitched since the Marlins called him up earlier this month.
Narveson made his major league debut in 2006 with St. Louis and has a 27-18 career record.
