Western Carolina University alum and former Carolina Panthers fullback Brad Hoover continues to matriculate through North Carolina high school coaching circles.
Hoover has been named the new coach at Cannon School in Concord.
It is the third different prep job in three years for Hoover, who was previously at Union Academy Charter and Marvin Ridge with a combined record of 9-15.
Hoover had this to say to the Charlotte Observer:
“I feel fortunate to be joining the Cannon community, and I am excited about the opportunity of leading the Cannon football program,” Hoover said. “I am anxious to begin building a program that the athletes, Cannon School and the Cannon community will be proud of.”
Cannon School went 5-6 in 2014 and lost 33-8 at Asheville School on Sept. 12.
