Gabe Morris pitched a two-hitter for host Newark Catholic Wednesday as the Green Wave advanced to the Division IV district semifinals.

Morris struck out seven and hit one batter. He also had a bases-loaded three-run double in the fourth inning. Jack Wollenburg had three hits, Nic Cavinee had two hits and two RBIs, Tanner Lake had two hits and Nick Halloy had two RBIs. Hunter McCartney started and took the loss for the ninth-seeded Rockets.

Top-seeded NC will face fourth-seeded Millersport at 5 p.m. Monday at Westerville North in the district semifinals.
