Suburban Philadelphia’s Haverford School remained No. 1 in the Super 25 boys lacrosse rankings provided by 3d Rising after wrapping up its  undefeated season May 22.

But behind the Fords, there was plenty of movement.

The Landon School (Bethesda, Md.) moved up to No. 2, followed by Gonzaga College High (Washington, D.C.) at No. 3, St. Ignatius (San Francisco) at No. 4 and the Hun School of Princeton at No. 5.

Syosset (N.Y.) fell to No. 8 from the second spot after losing to Niskayuna (N.Y.) by a score of 14-11. After Syosset’s loss, the team bounced back to beat No. 3  Massapequa 17-8 in the Section VIII/Nassau County Class A championship. Massapequa is No. 9 in this week’s rankings.

Niskayuna made the week’s biggest jump, moving from No. 23 to its current spot at No. 7.

Leaving this week’s Super 25 was Pittsford Mendon (N.Y.). The lone newcomer is No. 25 Jamesville-Dewitt (N.Y.).
