Anthony Nittolo rushed 14 times for 130 yards and a touchdown to lead the host New Paltz High School football team over Saugerties, 20-7, on Friday.
Michael Kenney had a fumble recovery for 56 yards, while Antonio Fazio had a 57 yard touchdown reception.
Saugerties’ only score was in the third quarter, a receiving touchdown by Keith Hartrum.
Hunter McVea and Kenney had an interception apiece for the Huguenots.
“We played a very, very good first half,” said New Paltz coach Tom Tegeler.
“We got ahead 20-0 by the end of the first half… It’s nice to be 2-2 and get a league win.”
New Paltz hosts Port Jervis next Friday, at 5:30 p.m. When asked of the upcoming challenge, Tegeler said, “(Port Jervis) is physical, but we’ve had a lot of physical teams this year, so it’ll be a good test for us.”
