On October 25, on the last day of her official visit to Baylor, Flower Mound (Flower Mound, Texas) forward Lauren Cox put on a Baylor jersey and posed for a picture with Bears head coach Kim Mulkey.
Cox asked her how she looked decked out in the Baylor colors and when Mulkey replied, “Good,” Cox told her she’d be wearing those colors for the next four years.

Cox, who is ranked No. 1 overall in the ESPN HoopGurlz 100, made that decision official signing her National Letter of Intent Wednesday afternoon, the first day of the NCAA’s Early Signing Period, which runs through Nov. 18.
“It feels great to finally make it official,” Cox said. “I have big expectations for my senior year, but I can’t wait to be a Lady Bear!”
Cox is Texas’ reigning Gatorade Player of the Year and has won three gold medals with USA Basketball.
Last season she averaged 21.7 points, 15.3 rebounds and 5.4 blocks per game.
