Katy (7-0, 4-0 district) has won its games this season by a combined score of 305-18, including four shutouts.
The close game was a 14-7 victory against The Woodlands on Sept. 11. In that game, Katy scored all its points in the span of five minutes in the first half and managed to maintain its lead for the victory.
Katy has three regular season games remaining and, on paper, the one everyone will be looking to is against Cinco Ranch in the Nov. 7 finale based on records. Cinco Ranch is 7-0 after a 24-20 victory against Taylor (Katy) on Friday night but consider that Katy beat Cinco Ranch 51-0 last year.
Katy has eyes on its fourth consecutive state finals and first state title since 2012.
