KUSA – Undefeated Longmont and Windsor hit the gridiron on Friday night in what became a battle between the defenses.

The Wizards struck first, when Brad Peeples found Brandon Ramirez for a touchdown. Windsor maintained its lead until the fourth quarter.

Longmont’s starting quarterback was knocked out of the game early, and freshman Oakley Dehning was sent in as his replacement. With 16 seconds remaining in the game, Dehning hit Eli Sulivan for a 45-yard touchdown. Longmont went for the two-point conversion with six seconds remaining in the game, and Conlan Berger scored to give Longmont the 8-7 win.

Longmont remains undefeated on the season.
