High school football can produce some silly stat lines from time to time. But even by those standards what Statesville (N.C.) senior quarterback Travis Ramseur did Friday is jaw-dropping. Nine rushes. Five touchdowns. 249 yards. 27.7 yards per carry. That’ll do.

Oh, and he also completed 9-of-10 passes for another 150 yards and a score. Add it all up and that’s 19 touches for 399 yards, six touchdowns and an even 21 yards per touch.

Also a talented pitcher who went 6-2 with with 59 strikeouts in 51.1 innings last spring, Ramseur has an offer to play football and baseball at East Carolina.
