North Oldham swimmer Grace Oglesby commits to U of L

By

North Oldham High School junior Grace Oglesby, who set a pair of records earlier this year at the State Swimming and Diving Championships, announced Wednesday on Twitter that she has committed to the University of Louisville.

Oglesby won two events at the state meet in February – the 50-meter freestyle in 22.92 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 51.75 seconds. Her time in the 100 butterfly was the second-fastest ever by a high school swimmer, just behind the mark of 51.70 seconds set by Beata Nelson of Wisconsin last November.

Oglesby also won the state title in the 100 butterfly as a sophomore. She is a member of the Cardinal Aquatics club team.
