Octavian Corley scored 22 points to lead all scorers as North Valleys defeated Reno, 59-58, on Friday night at Reno in boys basketball.
Reno overcame an 11-point deficit at the end of the game and then missed a pair of free throws as the Panthers snagged the win to improve to 5-7 in Division I.
Tommy McGuire also reached double digits for the Panthers with 15 points, including a pair of 3s.
For the Huskies (7-5), J.C. Castillo scored 11 points, while David Kyle added 10 points.
BISHOP MANOGUE 68, GALENA 25 at Manogue: Breezi Holt hit eight field goals en route to scoring 18 points to lead the Miners. Katie Turner scored 13 points, including Manogue’s sole 3-pointer.
For the Grizzlies, Josie Peck scored four points.
RENO 58, NORTH VALLEYS 17 at Reno: The Huskies held the visiting Panthers to six first-half points and steadily pulled away for a big win.
Mallory McGwire finished with a triple-double to lead Reno, scoring 19 points, pulling down 14 rebounds and blocking 12 shots. Mikayla Shults added 12 points, and Daranda Hinkey finished with nine points and eight assists for the Huskies, who moved their Division I North record to 12-0.
Karolina Perez led North Valleys with five points.
DOUGLAS 55, WOOSTER 28 at Minden: Leonna Mortimer scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Tigers, while Maddy Lowe added 10 points. For the Colts, Tara Garcia scored 10 points.
LOWRY 61, SPARKS 21 at Winnemucca: Alyssa Dendary led all scorers with 13 points, while Payton Naveran scored 10 points for the Buckaroos.
For the Railroaders, Marissa Coleman scored six points.
SPANISH SPRINGS 55, HUG 37 at Spanish Springs: Katrina Prendergast sank 10 field goals to score 20 points for the Cougars.
For the Hawks, Seinititla Mau scored 12 points, while Rachelle Tau added 10.
PERSHING COUNTY 60, BATTLE MOUNTAIN 20 at Pershing County: Mikayla Montes sank six field goals, five of which were in the first half, to score 18 points for the Mustangs.
Anna Vidales made a pair of 3s en route to scoring 10 points.
For the Longhorns, RianeSchroeder scored six points.
SPANISH SPRINGS 75, HUG 39 at Spanish Springs: Marcus Loadholt knocked down five 3-pointers en route to scoring 23 points. Bryce DeLong added nine.
For the Hawks, Ahmad Thomas scored 10 points.
LOWRY 55, SPARKS 32 at Winnemucca: Omar Guerrero grabbed seven rebounds and scored 22 points, including five 3s, to lead the Buckaroos. Nathan Lutzow scored 12 points and had seven boards, while Christian Gray added 11.
For the Railroaders, Adrian Garcia scored 12 points and Ricky Guardon added nine points.
DOUGLAS 56, WOOSTER at Minden: The Tigers held the Colts to four first-quarter points and never looked back on the way to a Sierra League win.
Jace Hart scored 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead Douglas. Zach Kellar added 13 points.
Wooster was led by 16 points from Martin Orozco, with teammate Isaac Zinnerman adding 15.
MCDERMITT 54, WELLS 29 at McDermitt: Sonny Crutcher had 16 points, eight steals and five assists to lead the Bulldogs.
T.J. Smith had 10 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double as McDermitt improved to 12-7.
For the Leopards, Armando Soriano scored 12 points.
VIRGINIA CITY 54 SMITH VALLEY 23 at Smith Valley: Clint Hess scored 22 points and Christian Lindsay added 13 to lead the Muckers.
Virginia City improved to 1-0 in league, 19-2 overall.
