Area players earn recognition among state's best

USA TODAY High School Sports released the 2015 ALL-USA Ohio Baseball Team on Thursday morning.

Northeast Ohio is well represented on the first and second-team squads.

Canton South’s D.J. Wilson, a first-team selection, was named the Player of the Year. Doug Miller of the Division III state champion Central Catholic Crusaders was named the Coach of the Year.

Walsh Jesuit senior pitcher Ryant Feltner, Lexington senior infielder and Revere senior outfielder Sam Sustersic all earned first-team honors.

Berlin Hiland senior pitcher Clyde Yoder, Wadsworth senior infielder Riley Campbell, Aurora senior infielder Matt Carpenter, Elyria Catholic junior outfielder Sean Darmafall and Norwalk St. Paul senior outfielder Grant Dilger earned second-team recognition.
