Running back KiAnte Sturgis rushed seven times for 248 yards and three touchdowns (including a 66-yard touchdown) to lead the Golden Knights to a big homecoming upset against the Vikings.

A wild turn of events ruined Delmar’s (0-5) chance at its first win of the season and made Lake Forest (3-2, 2-0) kicker Austin Aguilar the hero in a rare finish in Felton this afternoon.

Vikings (5-1) running back Tre Lake had 182 yards rushing with 3 touchdowns to lead the way against the Colonels.

College Football 

Salisbury 31, (No. 13) Rowan 28 (game story via SU Athletics)

Up 31-28 in the fourth quarter, The Sea Gulls (3-1) were able to run 5:14 off the clock and put the Profs (4-1) deep into their own territory with just 50 seconds to go. The Salisbury defense, led by junior Christian Wilson and senior James Hall, held on to secure the Homecoming upset. Wilson and Hall had ten tackles each. Junior Connor Canonico had 105 of the Sea Gulls’ 287 yards rushing.

Rowan’s Withler Marcelin scored three touchdowns and had 190 yards rushing on 29 attempts (6.6 yards-per-carry).

College Men’s Soccer

Salisbury 3, Penn State Harrisburg 0 (game story via SU Athletics)

Junior Tyler Andrus, Senior Taylor Groginski and junior Leslie Umunna scored for the Sea Gulls in their Homecoming match. Salisbury’s 22 shots, three assists, eight corner kicks, 12 shots on goal, and only one shot on goal allowed were all season highs.

College Women’s Soccer

Junior goalkeeper Alesha Seifert had four saves to hold the Bobcats scoreless, including two in the first minute of double overtime.

College Volleyball

Salisbury 3, Mary Washington 1  (25-22, 11-25, 25-15, 25-21) (game story via SU Athletics)

The Sea Gulls move to 15-7 and 2-1 in Capital Athletic Conference play. Junior Katie Stouffer led the team with 12 kills and moved into sole possession of sixth place in program history with 1,144 career kills. Freshman Kelly Surkovich led the SU defense with 15 digs.
