Ohio all-star team wins Brine National Lacrosse Classic

A team of Ohio all-stars won the Brine National Lacrosse Classic in Virginia in early July.

A team of Ohio all-stars won the Brine National Lacrosse Classic in Virginia in early July.

A team coached by Moeller High School head coach Sean McGinnis won the Brine National Classic Lacrosse tournament outside of Richmond, Va., with a 7-0 record.

The team of 2016 and 2017 grads defeated New England 6-2.

The win qualified the All-Star team to face a Canadian squad in the Brogden Cup sometime in early January.

Locals on the squad were Marshall Amon from Loveland, Jack Hannah from Milford, C.J. Hughes from Walnut Hills, Jack Streicher from Elder, Reed Russell from Seven Hills, Alex Deters from St. Xavier, Tommy Barnhorst from Sycamore and Lucas Klever, Conner Rice, Jack Richey and Anthony Lebarge III from Moeller.
