CHICAGO – Luke Kennard torched the nets for the East at its intra-squad scrimmage during the McDonald’s All American practice Monday morning. Apparently, that was a sign of things to come.
Kennard, a shooting guard at Franklin (Franklin, Ohio), pumped in a score of 23 to claim the POWERADE Jam Fest 3-Point Shootout title Monday night at University of Chicago.
Kennard beat out Stevenson (Lincolnshire, Ill.) point guard Jalen Brunson (20) and Oak Ridge (Orlando, Fla.) shooting guard Antonio Blakeney (15).
“I’m just truly blessed to be in this position,” Kennard said.
