25 local players suit up for Border Bowl


Saturday at the University of the Cumberlands, some of the best high school players in Kentucky and Tennessee met on the gridiron with bragging rights on the line.

With less than a minute left in the game, Sullivan South’s Dylan Wieger threw a touchdown to Eddie Lee of Memphis Central. Tennessee went for two and the win, but couldn’t convert.

Kentucky won 33-32.

There were 25 Knoxville-area players on the Tennessee roster:
