Favorite sports memory : When running with a group of friends our coach caught us somewhere we weren’t supposed to be. We all turned to make our getaway, because our coach had only seen one of us thus far. We all ran up this big muddy and grass-covered hill, and when I got to the top I slipped and slid down the hill.
Advice to an athlete: To have fun and try your best. I always tell people who are running for the first time to pick a pace or a partner to stick with; this way they can push themselves and each other, but most importantly I tell them to not stop running. Distance running is more psychological than it is physical.
Inspiration: My older sister helped me a lot with my sports. She would give me advice, and a partner to work with when I needed one. It used to be her which pushed me to strive and succeed in my running career. However as I got older I realized it was the rush and the feeling which running gave me that I craved.
College plans: I hope to be attending UM. I will be majoring in biology. I aspire to someday be a doctor in entomology. I hope in this field I will be able to travel and experience the world how it was meant to be. Natural and realistic. I also wish to study in other fields of science, and music.
