Norfork traveled to Calico Rock and split a pair of senior high games on Friday night in 1A-2 North Conference action at Harold Ray Jeffery Gymnasium.
The Panthers improved to 18-8 overall and 5-2 in league play with a 46-30 victory over the Pirates.
Travis Lewis tossed in 17 points to lead Norfork, which returns to action at 6 p.m. today against Viola in the third-place game of the North Arkansas College Senior Boys Tournament at Harrison.
Wyatt Chapman added 10 points for Norfork, while Alex Disandro scored seven, Jacob Davis notched six, Austin Stinnett scored four and Nate Bryant chipped in two. The score was tied 12-12 after one quarter, before Norfork took a 23-19 lead at the half and a 35-23 advantage after three.
Brett James led Calico Rock (11-11 overall) with 10 points and Bryan Parnell added seven.
The Lady Panthers suffered a 59-48 defeat at the hands of the Lady Pirates and fell to 16-8 overall and 5-2 in the 1A-2 North.
Kelcy Acklin scored 13 points to lead the Lady Panthers, who return to action on Tuesday at home against Viola.
Abbie Belding and Mary Miller totaled 10 points each for Norfork, while Riley Scalf tallied seven, Cheyenne Acklin notched six, and Brittany Kocka chipped in two.
Norfork led 8-6 after one quarter before the Lady Pirates got going, taking a 20-16 lead at the half and a 39-33 lead after three.
Calico Rock won the junior boys’ game 42-9. Jordan Rhymer and Brock Belding scored four apiece and Saul Maple pitched in one for Norfork.
