Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.) held onto the top spot in the final Super 25 baseball rankings of the season, but there were six new teams in the Super 25, led by No. 9 Cypress Ranch, Texas, which won the Texas 6A title by defeating two ranked teams. Cypress Ranch knocked off then-No. 25 Martin (Arlington) 3-0 in the championship as Brent Hebert allowed five hits over five innings, followed by a 2-1 defeat of then-No. 21 Dallas Jesuit (Dallas) in the state semifinal. The game-winning run was produced by a Masen Hibbeler suicide squeeze, bringing in Logan Thibodeaux for the winning run.

The other new teams: No. 10 Providence Catholic (New Lenox, Ill.), which won its second consecutive 4A title; No. 20 North Penn (Lansdale, Pa.), which won its second state AAAA title in three seasons; No. 21 Hartland, Mich., which won the state Division I title; No. 23 Christian Brothers (Lincroft, N.J.), which knocked off then-No. 9 Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey) 7-0 for the state Non-Public A title and No. 25 Oviedo, Fla., which won the state 7A title.
