A penalty kick goal provided the only score for Pulaski’s girls soccer team Thursday, but it was enough.
The Red Raiders improved to 8-2 in the Fox River Classic Conference with a 1-0 victory at Green Bay Southwest.
Hailey Vandenhouten tallied the game’s lone score, in the 42nd minute, for Pulaski (15-3-1 overall).
Toni Champion had nine saves for Southwest (10-8-3, 5-4-1).
De Pere 7, Manitowoc 0
DE PERE – Lizzie Miller, Anna Boyd and Alek Kleis each netted two goals as the Redbirds kept their lead in the FRCC.
Greta Arshem added one goal while Hannah Baldwin had one assist for De Pere, 15-3-2 overall, 9-0-1 in the FRCC. Sheboygan North moved to 8-1-1 with a win over Bay Port on Thursday.
Kelly Kent had no saves in goal in the first half and Morgan VanLanen had two saves in the second half for De Pere.
Sheboygan North 3, Bay Port 1
HOWARD – It took 84 minutes for Bay Port to score their first goal against Sheboygan North.
Erika Hess put the ball in the back of the net with an assist from Sarah Miller but it was not quite enough.
Kayla Tabalske had eight saves for the Pirates (5-5 FRCC).
Green Bay Preble 8, Green Bay East 0
Taryn Allen had two goals in the first half and the the Hornets didn’t look back.
Cameron Harris, Tavia Anderson, Kendra Jepson, Katlie Karling, Marissa Derenne and Brianna Johnson each had a goal for the Hornets.
Kayla Vandersteen had nine saves and Ariana Montoya had two saves for the Red Devils.
Green Bay Notre Dame 3, Ashwaubenon 1
ASHWAUBENON – Anna Tristsani had two goals to lead the Tritons (15-5-3, 6-3-1) to a victory over the Jaguars (10-7-2-, 4-5-1).
Shannon Kaufmann also had a goal for Notre Dame.
Emily Luebke and Emma Riedi combined for six saves.
Sheboygan South 7, Green Bay West 0
SHEBOYGAN – Jenna Zelm and Azelea Rincon both scored twice for the Redwings.
Wrightstown 2, Valders 0
VALDERS – The Tigers clinched a consecutive Packerland Conference championship with the shutout win on the road.
Carly Eggert and Abbey Verheyen each had goals for the Tigers. Taylor Falck assisted on both Wrightstown goals.
Wrightstown’s defense, led by Tiffany Theunis, held Valders to no shots on goal.
West De Pere 2, Seymour 1
SEYMOUR – After a scoreless first half of the Bay Conference tournament opener, the Thunder scored the first goal in the second half by Kelsey Kominowski to take the lead. But Caroline Kandravi and Jenna Rollin each had a goal for the Phantoms and they held on for the victory.
Payton Kellam and Jaydn Forgette each had assists for West De Pere.
Marinette 2, Denmark 0
DENMARK – Alex Cording scored both goals for Marinette to get the Bay Conference win.
Cassidy Dewitt and Ally Eldredge assisted on the goals for the Marines.
Cassondra McVane had six saves to preserve the shutout. Jennifer Nehls had 17 saves for Denmark.
New London 2, Shawano 0
SHAWANO – Carlie Hinnefel had four saves for Shawano (7-8-2, 4-2-2 Bay) but it wasn’t enough as she allowed a goal in each half.
