The Hawks have an impressive 3200 finish at state track & field championships

KUSA — The SkyView Academy Hawks, junior, Ben Butler took 1st in the 3200 with a time of 9:25 and also 2nd in the 1600 with a time of 4:21 (three second behind first place). Sophomore, Cassie Unruh, took 4th in the girls 3200 and took 10th in the 1600 with a time of 5:35. The two are great runners for the Hawks and making an impact at the state championship track & field championship.
Freshman, Jimmy Scavuzzo also took 14th in 3200 in the same race as Butler. The Hawks placed 7th in the girls 4×800 with a team of Cassie Unruh, Louise Wittenberg, Luci and Tiana Schwartz. Tina Schwartz, the only freshman to compete in the 400, finished with a time of 60:04 despite a nasty spike injury to her leg.
