Quarterback Ty Pigrome ran for three touchdowns and passed for two to lead No. 11 Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, Ala.) to a 45-35 win at Austin (Decatur) on Friday in a Class 6A semifinal.

With the win, the Cougars (14-0) will play Spanish Fort on Friday night at the University of Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa for a chance at a second consecutive state 6A championship.

Pigrome ran for touchdowns of 7 yards, 8 yards and 4 yards. He threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to T.J. Simmons and a 3-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Walker.

Quarterback Austin Garth threw four touchdown passes for Austin (10-5).
