Poudre High School graduate Diana Potterveld has joined fellow Poudre soccer grad James Rogers as a finalist for the Wooden Citizenship Cup.
Potterveld is a junior forward women’s soccer player at South Dakota State University. She was maned a first-team Academic All-American in November and she captained South Dakota State to its first Summit League Tournament title since 2008.
She led the league with 24 points and set a school record with 12 assists.
Potterveld and Rogers — a University of New Mexico soccer player — were two of 24 semifinalists.
The Wooden Cup is open to all college athletes at every division and in every sport.
The Cup is presented to two distinguished athletes from any sport — one intercollegiate and one professional — that best display character, teamwork and citizenship.
