La Quinta’s Benji Cordova carries the ball for a first down against Coachella Valley on Friday.

The football season continues into late November. Tonight in 11-man football it’s Palm Desert at Serrano while La Quinta will be hosting Oak Hills.

In eight-man football, Joshua Springs will be heading to Desert Chapel on Saturday for the Division 2 championship game.

If La Quinta and Palm Desert win in tonight’s semifinals games, they will meet each other for the CIF SS championship game. Can you imagine?

Our staff will be at both games tonight, but Nathan Brown will be attending the big game in La Quinta. Make sure to catch his first-half recap of the game on Periscope (username: mydesert).
