Here’s a look at some of the top performers from the opening night of the girls basketball season. This list reflects information submitted to the LSJ.
OLIVIA ROE, PORTLAND – The senior guard had 25 points in a 54-45 win over Grand Ledge.
MADDIE WATTERS, WILLIAMSTON – The sophomore had 23 points on 10 of 16 shooting in a 62-18 win over Holt.
AUTUMN KISSMAN, MASON – The junior center had 22 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks in a win over Battle Creek Lakeview.
LEXA ELZERMAN, FOWLERVILLE – Scored 21 points and added nine rebounds in a 52-49 win over Corunna.
DANNI HANSON, EAST LANSING – Scored 21 points to help the Trojans to a 51-47 win over Lansing Catholic.
LAYA HARTMAN, OKEMOS – The freshman had 21 points in a loss to St. Johns.
GABBY IACOBELLIS, DEWITT – Had 21 points and eight rebounds in a 69-52 win over Everett.
TAZJAH PRUITT, EVERETT – Scored 21 points and added seven rebounds in a loss to DeWitt.
MALEIA HALE, CHARLOTTE – The freshman had 20 points in a 53-12 win over Eastern.
TESSA HOSFORD, BATH – Had 17 points, nine steals and seven assists in a 61-41 win over Stockbridge.
JAYLYNN WILLIAMS, IONIA – The junior had 17 points and 13 rebounds to help Ionia to a 41-29 win over Alma.
MADDIE MALONEY, ST. JOHNS – The sophomore had 16 points and six assists in a 68-39 win over Okemos.
LILLY GEORGE, DEWITT – The senior had 15 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Everett.
JENNA GEWIRTZ, OVID-ELSIE – Had 15 points and 10 rebounds in an overtime victory over Owosso.
